Anthony
McBride, Ph. D.
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Anthony
McBride is charged with integrating the company’s Human
Resources programs and practices with its business priorities
and strategies. He is a strategic leader with a commitment to
leadership development and organizational change.
Anthony
joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1995 as associate director, Human
Resources Development, Worldwide Medicines. Since then, he has
held numerous leadership positions including director, Leadership
Development, and a variety of vice president positions in Europe,
International Medicines, U.S. Pharmaceuticals and, most recently,
Worldwide Pharmaceutical Commercial Operations. He began his
current position as senior vice president, Human Resources, in
April 2008.

Anthony
is moving forward with a 10-year $324 million project
to transform and support our company’s global
human resource functions. “We will become more streamlined
in our operations,” he says. “This will help us manage
talent within our organization and have an integrated view into
our employee population and workforce data. This is integral
to helping us better serve our customers and our strategic transformation
to a BioPharma leader.”
Before
joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, Anthony was a consultant in the
New York office of Personnel Decisions Inc., where he specialized
in executive coaching, talent selection, management development,
and organizational development consulting to Fortune 500 companies.
Born
and raised in Houston, Texas, Anthony earned a bachelor’s
degree in psychology from the University of Texas, Austin, and
both his master’s and doctorate degrees in Industrial/Organizational
Psychology from Texas A&M University. Anthony lives in New
Jersey with his wife and their two children. He enjoys photography,
music and travel.
