What we are looking for
Cardiovascular Diseases: Long history of leadership in treatment.
Aggressively seeking new medicines.
We are continually seeking innovations in atherothrombosis, which represents our largest investment in research, and constitutes a major portion of our early pipeline.
Decades of innovation and success.
Over the past thirty years, Bristol-Myers Squibb has discovered new targets, designed novel molecules, and conducted comprehensive clinical trials to create new cardiovascular treatments. In fact, in 1999, we were awarded the National Medal of Technology -- the U.S.'s highest honor for technological innovation -- for our work in cardiovascular drug development. We have also been recognized with the Albert Lasker Award for Clinical Medical Research, and with the American Chemical Society's Heroes of Chemistry award.
We are a leader not only in research and development of cardiovascular medicines, but in marketing and sales of such products, as well. Our sales in this therapeutic area in 2001 reached $4.9 billion.
