We pledge courteous, efficient, and ethical behavior and practices; respect for your interests; and an open door. We pledge to build and uphold the trust and goodwill that are the foundation of successful business relationships.

Bristol-Myers Squibb works with suppliers in an attempt to ensure the highest level of quality, expertise, experience, and fit with our operating culture. We expect our suppliers to comply with all legal and regulatory requirements for the workplace, including health and safety, diversity, and human rights. We periodically monitor the performance of our key suppliers, through a range of tools including surveys, reference checks, publicly available information, and site visits.

We encourage key suppliers to establish goals that support our 2010 Sustainability Goals. In particular, one of our 2010 goals is to develop specific programs and expectations to improve the EHS performance of key suppliers.

The economic impact of our company includes the cost of goods, materials, and services purchased from our suppliers. The cost of products sold, which is available in the Bristol-Myers Squibb 2007 Annual Report, provides a very rough estimate of the monetary flow to suppliers.
